Hey Josh, welcome back — many years ago in Hawaii there was a popular Japanese song that one would hear all the time. Some girl would sing (I’m going to phonetically sound this out), “Konichiwa aka-san”.
I had no idea what this meant. (Apologies to any Japanese out there.) So I asked a Japanese martial arts guy I knew what it meant.
“Don’t let door hit you in ass on the way out,” he said.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
(Incidentally, I’m halfway through Rembert Weakland’s autobiography. More later.)
